The opportunity

Having undergone a paradigm shift in recent years, SAP offers an innovative high-performance real-time platform and solutions which are enabling organisations to become intelligent enterprises. Our SAP team is focused on working with our clients to leverage these SAP innovations and create business value. In particular we are looking for an individual with a proven delivery background who can assist our clients with delivering next generation SAP technology.

Your Key Responsibilities

At Director level, a large proportion of your time will be engaging with senior stakeholders of leading UK businesses. You’ll also be responsible for shaping new opportunities, managing teams and delivering high quality work.

You will therefore be:
Highly motivatedA good communicator with the ability to convey complex technical content in business language to board level and across different audiencesWell versed in Energy sector trends and clients across Oil & Gas, Utilities and (to a lesser extent) wider Natural resources or Metals/MiningAble to identify, shape and solution potential client engagements including Energy specific considerationsAble to manage the direction of the SAP and key digital architecture solutions for our clientsAct as the key solution or technical lead on the deployment S/4HANA projects with an awareness of other emerging ERP and Digital capabilities such as Microsoft, Service Now and Cloud-based providersDefine and agree the path to technical transformation, such as through S/4HANA, including enablement and deployment approachEnsure alignment across architecture domains especially between business, functional and technical designReview and recommend any new technology products and offerings against business needsNetworking across EY capability to identify and adopt best practices, as well as share knowledge

Skills And Attributes For Success
Self-starterProven experience as an Enterprise or Solution Architect in a complex, global, senior leadership level Architectural roleRecognised in the market as an experienced leader within Energy markets and clientsStrong, broad SAP knowledge including leading an end to end S4/HANA projectExtensive SAP solutions architecture, programme and project management, delivery, governance and strategy experienceExperience of building assets and collateral to contribute to the overall effectiveness of in internal solution delivery and external pre-sales enablementStrong background in non-technical advisory deliveryExperience of supporting pre-sales engagements, bids and go to market collateralBroad appreciation of the overall SAP and wider technology market proposition and solution suiteTrack record of learning new technologies and applying them successfully Working knowledge of hybrid (Cloud and On Premises) landscapes Solution architecture skills

To qualify for the role you must have
The ability to structure teams, lead work streams and architect solutionsExcellent communication skills and ability to build ‘Trusted Adviser’ relationshipsDeep expertise across SAP’s solution portfolioStrong experience with Waterfall, Hybrid-Agile and Agile methods (eg. Scrum, Lean, Kanban)Willingness to travel as required in relation to working at Client Sites on specific engagements

Ideally, you’ll also have
12+ years experience in complex technology delivery including a track record in Energy sector clients and with a good set of SAP project lifecycles Hold relevant ERP / SAP certificationsAn understanding of the Technology, SAP and Cloud roadmap and industry trendsEnergy-related business and functional experienceReferenceable client experiences within Oil & Gas in particular, Energy sector more broadly
