Summary
In this role you will manage a team of 4 accountants and coordinate with a support team in Buenos Aires by taking ownership of all daily, monthly, and annual accounting, controlling and finance related tasks assigned to you and your team. You will report to the Finance Manager based in Dubai.

What You Will Do
Manage daily accounting activities, supervise month-end closure procedures and tasks for the Angolan operations, co-ordinate with local, regional and Corporate Finance teams, to complete books of accounts (local and US GAAP), reconcile and report for US GAAP consolidation through HFMFollow safety policies to provide a safe workplace for all employees and supports the guiding principles of Goal Zero to continually improve the plant’s safety, health and environmental performance, security, design, development, manufacture, storage, marketing, distribution, use and ultimate safe disposal of chemical products. Drive culture of safety; Report safety observations / incidentsSupports and is committed to the Quality Improvement Process. Plans strategies to ensure error-free work by “doing it right the first time” and conveys this attitude in the daily performance of various duties, in our drive continuous improvementMonthly Balance sheet review & reconciliationReview and approve VAT and other local taxes filingSupport on SOX controls assessment, implementation, and reporting.Responsible for the completion of the Statutory Accounts, being able to file the annual accounts as per local and corporate deadlines, and supporting the team and auditors throughout the audit processCoordinate Internal and External local accounting and tax audits, and support annual Group audit reportingEnsure Internal Controls are implemented without any exception and perform self-assessment. Manage all areas of Accounting and ControllingManage weekly/monthly/quarterly cash flows with the team and other day to day treasury/banking activitiesManaging AR and AP, including Intercompany balances (reconciliation, mark-up elimination, allocations)Initiate and maintain inter-departmental and cross-company relationships by partnering with company’s stakeholders such as Commercial Finance, FP&A, Supply Chain finance, HR, Plant and Procurement to meet Corporate’s expectationsReview and support on the implementation of company’s policies and proceduresAny other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of this post, for which the post holder has the necessary experience and/or training

Minimum Education And Experience
Accounting professional qualification a must (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)12-15 years’ experience in a similar Accounting/Finance and/or Audit role working on a dynamic international environment in AngolaAngolan National (or a holder of recognized resident rights) with a valid passport; currently resident in AngolaCurrently accountable for managing the performance and results delivery of direct reportsExperience with Internal/SOX controls and integrating these as a part of daily tasks and working cultureDetailed knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP; proven knowledge on Record to Report, Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay business cyclesAbility to engage with senior leadership and a positive can-do attitude is paramountExcellent communication skills and fluency in English a mustSAP/Iscala experience preferred, and it would be an advantage
